The escalation of the India-Pakistan conflict could soon lead to the suspension of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had said on Wednesday that the T20 league will continue in the aftermath of the Operation Sindoor by Indian armed forces, however, things have quickly changed after fresh attacks from India.

The Indian Armed Forces attacked Air Defence Radars and systems at a number of locations in Pakistan on Thursday after Pakistan attempted to engage a number of military targets in Northern and Western India on Wednesday. The Indian Ministry of Defence has claimed that the Air Defence system at Lahore has been neutralised.

The social media is also abuzz with videos and posts that the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium was also hit by a drone on Thursday.

PCB calls for emergency meeting over PSL

The quick escalation in the military action from India has put a question mark on the remaining PSL 2025 matches. As per ARY News and other Pakistan media outlets, the remaining PSL matches have been shifted to Karachi for now. While Pakistan’s GEO Super TV has reported that the PCB has called for an urgent meeting with PSL franchises on Thursday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore to discuss the possible options to complete the PSL.

The meeting between the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Pakistan Super League franchise owners will take place at 4.30 PM IST.

Another report by the same media organisation states that the suspension of PSL 2025 is also on the cards. The PCB is also set to meet the officials from the Ministry of Interior. The decision to suspend the league or not will be taken in this meeting.

Only eight matches in the ongoing PSL are left, including four knockout matches and four playoff matches.
