Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs: 10 nations hit hardest

China  China has been hit with 34 per cent tariffs. This will be in addition to the previously imposed 20 per cent. This make the total rise to a whopping 54 per cent.

Vietnam Vietnam faces a 46 per cent tariff, severely impacting its manufacturing sector and global supply chain integration, especially in electronics and textiles.

India Trump said the US will charge an import duty of 26 per cent on India. Trump described tariffs by  Delhi as “very very tough”. He went on to say that “Their Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) just left (US recently)…he is a great friend of mine, but I said to him that ‘you’re a friend of mine, but you’ve not been treating us right’.

European Union  A 20 per cent tariff has been imposed on all European Union goods, hurting years-long trade ties between the two blocs.

Australia Subject to a 10 per cent tariff, with beef and other exports facing additional taxes, straining historically strong trade relations with the US.
