US President Donald Trump slammed former President Joe Biden and many of his critics in his first Easter Sunday wishes after returning to the White House. While Trump wished everyone “with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter,” he launched vitriol against what he described as “Radical Left Lunatics” and even courts pursuing multiple cases against him before and after assuming the office.
Before he shared a traditional Easter post on TruthSocial, saying he and First Lady Melania Trump “would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter,” the president posted a longer, grievance-filled message. He went on to accuse people on the left of trying hard to bring criminals back to the United States.
“Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well-known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters back into our Country,” Trump said, extending further wishes to the “WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue.”
Trump pushes the same rhetoric against Biden
While it’s been months since Biden is out of the office, the former president is still not out of Trump’s mind. The Republican firebrand used age-old rhetoric against his predecessor, referring to him as “Sleepy Joe Biden”. He accused the former Democratic President of purposefully allowing “Millions of CRIMINALS to enter our Country, totally unvetted and unchecked, through an Open Borders Policy that will go down in history as the single most calamitous act ever perpetrated upon America.”
“He was, by far, our WORST and most Incompetent President, a man who had absolutely no idea what he was doing,” Trump furthered. He reiterated his claims that Biden and his team “CHEATED in the 2020 Presidential Election to get this highly destructive Moron Elected.” “I wish you, with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter!!!” he added.
The angry message from the POTUS came at a time when there had been simmering tensions between the federal judiciary and the Trump administration over its sweeping crackdown on illegal immigrants, and some of them who are not illegal.
Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance celebrated Easter Sunday by meeting the Vatican sovereign Pope Francis. The meeting came after the two men tangled sharply over the Trump administration’s immigration approach. The vice president is now in India, where he will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The president remained in Washington over the weekend and visited his Virginia golf club on Sunday. He will host the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, marking a longtime White House tradition that dates back to 1878.
