A week ago, the world celebrated International Women’s Day. The day is marked across the globe to celebrate how far women have come and to acknowledge the struggle that they face ahead.
And it’s true. Women have come a really long way — the participation of women has increased significantly. As per estimates by the International Labour Organisation (ILO), today, the highest rate of women’s participation in the workforce is from North Korea, followed by Solomon Islands. Interestingly, the United States and the United Kingdom don’t feature on the list of countries with most women in the workforce.
