Family time

It is a time for family gatherings, and celebrations. ‘Eid Mubarak’ greetings are exchanged.

Behaviour

Do not engage in gossip or use slang which may disrupt the harmony of Eid celebration.

Zakat al-Fitr

It is a charity deed where Muslims give food and clothing among other things to the less fortunate before attending the Eid prayers.

Over spending

Don’t waste money to indulge temptation.

Assistance

Extend a helping hand to the host with tasks such as serving food, clearing dishes, or tidying up after the celebration.

A visit without gifts

If you are visiting someone, do not show up empty-handed. Bring a gift even if it is something small as a token of appreciation.
