The OnePlus Nord 4 5G comfortably holds on to its spot in this list courtesy of its all-round goodness, starting with the design. The metal back on this phone is a welcome addition. The Nord 4 has an aluminium unibody that looks elegant and feels sturdy, yet keeps the thickness of the phone down to 8 mm. It also sports an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, and you can now get its 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage variant in this budget.

It has a 6.74-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a higher than Full HD resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels. You can also get its 12GB RAM variant in this budget but we wouldn’t recommend that at a Rs 4,000 premium. Photography department is quite similar with a 50MP primary camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide shooter manning the rear, with a 20MP front camera taking care of selfies and video calls.

The Poco F6 5G has a vibrant 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a higher than Full HD resolution and support for 12-bit colour, 120Hz refresh rate, 2400 nits peak brightness and HDR10+ and Dolby Vision compliance. The display is protected against scratches by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Its 5000mAh battery can last over a day and a half of moderate use, and the bundled 90W turbo charger can take it from empty to full in about 40 minutes. It runs Android 14 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS with a few more updates to follow.

This phone has a sleek design measuring just 7.7 mm in thickness. You get a 6.7-inch 10-bit OLED HDR display with higher than Full HD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 4000 nits peak brightness. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It runs MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14.

As I was saying, the photography department is one of its key selling points. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is quite slim too and offers a classy eco-leather back option. It also sports an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. This phone has a curved 10-bit 6.7-inch P-OLED display, with 120Hz refresh rate, 2000 nits peak brightness and HDR10+ compliance.  

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro too is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. You get three cameras at the back that are quite versatile. Its 32MP front camera does a good job too. The 5000mAh battery lasts over a day and a half of moderate use, and the bundled 67W SuperVOOC charger manages to juice it up in under 45 minutes.
